    CONGRATULATIONS HHS SOPHOMORE
    BRANDON MURRAY!

    In an eleven-strikeout performance against Griffith, sophomore right-handed pitcher Brandon Murray broke the Hobart High School single-season strikeout record set in 1967 by Mike Hoffar.  Hoffar, who attended Ball State University and played professional baseball in the Kansas City Royals organization finished the 1967 season with 92 strikeouts.  Mr. Hoffar passed away in 2009.  Following yesterday's game, Murray now has 94 strikeouts on the season. Hobart lost the game 4-2 falling to 18-7 for the season.

    Residents of Hobart are invited to take advantage of the track at the Hobart High School Frank Kurth Fieldhouse. Simply show your driver's license or state ID as proof of residency. Hours are Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m.-7:15 a.m. & 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. when school is in session. Athletic competitions and inclement weather may force closing the Fieldhouse. Please watch for signage. Walk-ins welcome! No registration required.

    Rose-Hulman's Homework Hotline provides FREE math and science homework to Indiana students in grades 6-12. Students may contact the Homework Hotline from 6 pm to 9 pm, September - May toll free at 1-877-ASK-ROSE or on the web at askrose.org.
    The Khan Academy library of videos covers K-12 math, science topics such as biology, chemistry, and physics, and even reaches into the humanities with playlists on finance and history. Each video is approximately 10 minutes long, and especially purposed for viewing on the computer. This is a great resource!
