• Welcome to our kindergarten safari.  I am your tour guide, Stefanie Osika.  This is my ninth year teaching in the School City of Hobart.  I graduated from Hobart High School and Purdue University.  I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education along with a kindergarten endorsement and a reading minor.  My master's degree was completed from Indiana Wesleyan University.

I have been married to my best friend Craig for eight years.  We have had many adventures together.  Craig and I both graduated from Hobart High School.  My father was his football coach and his mother was my English teacher.  After High School, Craig went on to play football at Indiana University on a full ride scholarship.  He was picked up as a free agent and went on to play four years in the NFL; an unexpected injury made for an early retirement.  After several years using his Business degree, Craig decided to go back to school for teaching.  He is currently starting his second year teaching and coaching in the School City of Hobart.  The saying is so true... "Once a Brickie, Always a Brickie"!

Craig and I are blessed to have an 8 month old daughter named Ava.  We enjoy spending time with our family and friends and traveling.  We have a weimaraner dog named Princess Isabella, but we just call her Bella!  The students will hear many stories of my family throughout the year!

Most of my family lives in Hobart.  My father was a huge inspiration for me growing up.  I saw the lives that he touched and wanted to pursue the same path.  He has been teaching and coaching in Hobart for 40 years!  I am very proud of him!

My interests include spending time with my family, reading, scrapbooking, and running with Bella.  I also LOVE to sing in my church choir.

I am looking forward to teaching kindergarten again and nurturing my students' love for learning!  Please, come and join us... we're on a LEARNING SAFARI!
