Mrs. Anderson- Assistant Principal

My education as a life-long learner began with earning my undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Reading, from Indiana University, Bloomington, Go Hoosiers!    I then went to Purdue University Calumet to earn my Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and an Elementary Principal’s License.  

My experience began in Hobart and I still love being a part of this great district.  I began at RidgeView Elementary for one year in 1991-1992 and then moved to Liberty Elementary from 1992-2012.  I have taught Fifth Grade, Third Grade, and Second Grade.  For three years, I was the RtI Interventionist at Liberty.  Now in 2012, I have become the Assistant Principal at Joan Martin School.

I live in Crown Point with my three, school-age children.  Each of them has a passion for learning as I do.  We really enjoy talking walks, swimming, bike riding, and we even explored a cave this summer! We love sports and always take time to read.  I look forward to a great and successful year at Joan Martin!
