Brickie soccer player, Ashley Henningfield, has shown some real grit over the past year!
During the third game of Ashley's sophomore year season, she suffered from an ACL injury that kept her on the sidelines for the rest of the season. Ashley had to spend her next year recovering from her injury, but she didn't let that stop her from doing some really great work for the community. Ashley was able to raise $500 for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life during her time off.
On top of it all, Ashley managed to keep up her grades, maintain her honor role status, and keep a positive attitude while still balancing many doctor appointments and rehab.
Fortunately, Ashley got to get back to the game she loved! She started this season back to full health and was out playing just like before! Ashley is a great example of keeping a positive attitude through hard times!
