The Hobart High School Baseball program is proud to announce that senior pitcher Braden has signed his Nation Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at Illinois State University. Illinois State is located in Normal, Illinois with an enrollment of 20,615 students. They play baseball in the Missouri Valley conference which was rated as the #7 Conference in the nation by RPI last year. It is arguably the best baseball conference in the Midwest. Illinois State has won both the conference and tournament championships at different times in the past five years.
Braden Niksich has enjoyed an exceptional
career at Hobart High School. Braden has been a member of the Varsity pitching
rotation at Hobart since his freshman season in 2013. He began to attract attention late in his
sophomore year when his fastball topped out at 91 miles per hour.
Braden is also a very good student, and we are certain he will do very well for himself in college. He is looking at computer science and business as possible fields of study right now.
