• Hobart High School's PLTW class is doing BIG things!

Hobart High School's PLTW class, taught by Mr. Brent Vermeulen, have no limits when it comes to what the mind can create. This year was the 11th Annual Extreme Redesign Challenge and some of our PLTW students entered this competition with some creative designs. In this challenge middle school, high school and college-level students WORLDWIDE can enter. Everyone creates their best design and explains why their deisgn improves on the existing engineering solution or why it's a great original or redesign work of art or architecture.

Out of everyone that entered throughout our world, 2 groups made of 4 Brickies became a regional semi-finalist in the Engineering Secondary Education category! WOW! What an accomplishment for these young men and woman. Unfortunately, they did not become part of the top 10 finalist but for their accomplishments at becoming semi-finalists they will receive a 3-D model of their invention and have a great advantage in their future with having done this experience.  Priceless.  Who are these Brickies?
