Celebrate Week of the Young Child

April 13-17, 2015

The School City of Hobart, Parents As Teachers, and Hobart Preschools in conjunction with the City of Hobart are pleased to announce Week of the Young Child April 13-17. This week will focus on our youngest citizens in Hobart. We will offer events that focus on ages prenatal-age 5. We would like to encourage families with young children to participate in as many activities as possible.

Join us for activities including Friday, April 17, 2015 at Building Brickies “R is for Rainbow” Playgroup 9:30-10:30 am at the Early Learning Center. We will have activities, crafts, snacks, story time, and a book exchange. RSVP to jjenkins@hobart.k12.in.us or 219-942-7263x8670.

Early childhood education is vital to our community. Children need a strong early learning foundation to succeed in school, and go on to succeed in life.

You can make a difference by supporting early literacy, reaching out and working with teachers and parents who help young children get a great start, and supporting policies that provide high-quality early learning opportunities for all young children.
